All have Naturalmat beds handcrafted in Devon, and modern en-suite bathrooms with underfloor heating and walk-in rain showers, with Land & Water toiletries.
For 2026, our Grand Rooms are £240 per night and our House Rooms are £190 per night, with a two-night minimum stay.
Breakfast is always included.
Grand Rooms
Sea View
Sea View is the original master bedroom of the house and our dog-friendly Grand Room. Three large sash windows flood the room with light and provide an enchanting, ever changing view of the sea, clouds, and cliffs. The bold, considered décor — and the stately scale of the room — are indulgent.
Lighthouse
Lighthouse is our most spacious room with a long view — Golden Cap to the east, and on a clear day as far as Portland. It is the only room at Dorset House with an adjacent sitting room: an original fireplace, a sofa, an antique desk, and space to settle in.
House Rooms
Fossil
Fossil faces seaward. Light streams in through the sash window from the south, and the view stretches over the rooftops of Lyme Regis to the sea. The room is quiet, calm, and unhurried — no television, just the view.
Church View
Church View sits tucked into the corner of the house — our quietest room, insulated from the street by its position. The original sash window looks out over St Michael & St George Catholic Church, in use since 1837, and a glimpse of the sea is visible beyond. Church View is our dog-friendly House Room.
Porthole
Porthole takes its name from the round window in the bathroom. The room is oriented north, which suits late sleepers. Porthole has an original fireplace, wide waxed floorboards, and tiling in the en-suite that echoes the ripple patterns left by the retreating tide on the beach below.

Every season at Dorset House has its charm, whether it's blustery invigorating walks, sunshine on the beach, sea swimming, fossil hunting after a storm, or a cozy book and tipple by the fire.
Single occupancy: £15/night reduction in any room.
Third guest: £15/night addition, and £30 for the sofa bed set up in Lighthouse.
Dorset House is an adults-only property.
Children may be accomodated under special arrangement such as multi-room or Full House bookings.
