The original Master Bedroom
Sea View is the original master bedroom of the house on the South-East corner. Three large sash windows flood the room with light and provide an enchanting, ever-changing view of the Golden Cap, the sea, the clouds, and the cliffs over the rooftops of Lyme Regis. The bold, considered décor — and the stately scale of the room — are indulgent.
Sea View features art by Dorset artists Ben Winter and Liz Somerville. With a peaceful air, a seat by the window, and an antique desk, writers, artists, and readers feel at home in Sea View.
Sea view is our dog-friendly Grand Room.

Our 2026 rates are per room per night, double occupancy, with a two-night minimum.
One-night bookings are occasionally available - please enquire directly.
Breakfast is always included.
We believe in flat-rate pricing year round.
Every season at Dorset House has its charm, whether it's blustery invigorating walks, sunshine on the beach, sea swimming, fossil hunting after a storm, or a cozy book and tipple by the fire.
Single occupancy: £15/night reduction in any room.
Third guest: £15/night addition, and £30 for the sofa bed set up in Lighthouse.
Dorset House is an adults-only property.
Children may be accomodated under special arrangement such as multi-room or Full House bookings.
