The quietest corner of the house
Church View sits tucked into the corner of the house — our quietest room, insulated from the street by its position. The original sash window looks out over St Michael & St George Catholic Church, in use since 1837, and a glimpse of the sea is visible beyond. Church View is our most spacious House Room, and the only one with an antique desk.
Church View features a mix of vintage and modern art prints, including Swimmers by Lyme Regis artist Moby Hill. Church View is also our dog-friendly House Room, with plenty of space for your small canine companion.

Our 2026 rates are per room per night, double occupancy, with a two-night minimum.
One-night bookings are occasionally available - please enquire directly.
Breakfast is always included.
We believe in flat-rate pricing year round.
Every season at Dorset House has its charm, whether it's blustery invigorating walks, sunshine on the beach, sea swimming, fossil hunting after a storm, or a cozy book and tipple by the fire.
Single occupancy: £15/night reduction in any room.
Third guest: £15/night addition, and £30 for the sofa bed set up in Lighthouse.
Dorset House is an adults-only property.
Children may be accomodated under special arrangement such as multi-room or Full House bookings.
